Spanish Literature from the Golden Age

This in-depth literature course is ideal for Spanish majors or minors

Objectives:

• Introduce Spain´s history, culture, art, and religion from the XV, XVI, and XVII centuries
• Teach literary themes, concepts, and genres from the golden age; baroque and renaissance periods
• Conduct literary analysis on important works from the time
• Read and discuss various literary texts, poems, and works of art connected to Salamanca including El Lazarillo del Tormes, La Celestina, and El Perro del Hortelano.

This course is primarily offered to students with a B2 language-level due to its thematic and literary content.
