Staying with a host family is a great way to enrich a study abroad student´s experience. It provides them a resource for practicing their Spanish and reinforces the knowledge learned in the classroom.
All our carefully selected families have extensive experience accommodating foreign students. Our families are all extremely welcoming, caring, and attentive. A homestay is a wonderful way to get to know the people of Salamanca and to experience the authentic Spanish lifestyle.
Homestay families may host other Spanish or international students during the school year (October to June). We ensure that the number of students staying in the home is appropriate. We also make sure that there is a mix of nationalities. Since the family´s official language is Spanish, having students from various nations requires that all communication be done in Spanish.

- You will have a key from day one so that you can come and go as you please.

Study abroad students also have the option to live in an off-campus student residence hall. During the academic year, the residence halls are occupied mainly by Spanish students but in summer months (July, August, and September) they are almost exclusively used by international students. The residence halls offer quality facilities, which include shared bathrooms, spacious bedrooms, and a number of communal areas.
If you’re looking for a University atmosphere and are eager to make Spanish and international friends, the residence hall is the place for you!

Mester also offers it´s own on-site residence hall, which has shared bedrooms and bathrooms. The hall is equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Each room comes with a computer and television. We offer laundry services and the option to have full board in a nearby restaurant.
These apartments are shared by local or international students! This opportunity to live in a multinational apartment will undoubtedly broaden your international perspective. However, there is a possibility that the main language spoken in the apartment will not be Spanish.
A student apartment is one of our most inexpensive accommodation choices. Student apartments are furnished and have a layout similar to typical family homes. Each apartment has several bedrooms, a kitchen (fully equipped with cooking utensils, washing machine and refrigerator) and shared bathrooms.
In a student flat you have a lot of freedom; however it is important to take responsibility for the household chores and to be respectful of your fellow roommates and neighbors.

studio apartments for either one or two people who wish to be independent and comfortable while studying abroad in Salamanca. We also recommend this option for teachers and faculty who may be accompanying a study abroad group.
